Earlier on September 4, Shikhar Dhawan, former Indian cricketer, was questioned by the ED under the the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) at the New Delhi headquarters of the investigating agency for around eight hours over his alleged links to the case.

Sources suggest that the 39-year-old may have had ties to the app through promotional endorsements.

Suresh Raina was questioned by the federal agency last month.

According to sources, more sportspersons and celebrities are expected to be questioned in the case in the near future.
