The two actor-comedians had a fallout in a flight when they were flying back to Mumbai after wrapping up a show in Australia.
Dream Girl director Raaj Shaandilyaa has decided to tie the knot. The filmmaker is getting married to his longtime partner Varsha Kashyap, an interior designer from Bhopal.
The couple has been dating for over 13 years now, and will be getting married on December 12, a Mumbai Mirror report said.
The wedding is to take place in Jhansi. Raaj shared some details about the wedding with Mirror.
He said, “The wedding will take place in Jhansi, my hometown, in the presence of family and friends. Later, we will be hosting a reception for my film industry friends in Mumbai.”
Raaj also shared that he met Varsha at a common friend’s engagement in Bhopal.
He added that while his partner was usually critical of his work, she liked his debut directorial Dream Girl.
“Usually, she is somewhat critical of my work, even though I’ve written family movies. But, while watching Dream Girl with me, she said,‘It’s a great family film, I hope it does well’,” he said.
Raaj Shaadilyaa has written over 200 scripts for comedian Kapil Sharma’s TV show, and dialogues for films like Welcome Back, Freaky Ali and Jabariya Jodi.
On the work front, he is working on the scripts of two films for the year 2020.
