Just last month, the actress gave a hopeful update. She revealed that her mother had been moved out of the ICU, but was still admitted to the hospital.
She wrote on Instagram Stories that her mother was “out of the ICU… but still in the hospital” and requested people to continue praying.
Earlier this year, on February 23, Zareen Khan had shared another emotional note. The date marked her Islamic birthday, which falls on the fifth day of Ramadan. She mentioned that she usually enjoys celebrating her birthday, but things were different this year.
In the post, she explained that her mother was hospitalised and therefore she would not celebrate. She requested followers to pray for her mother, saying that prayers would be the “greatest gift” she could receive.
This was not the first time Parveen Khan had faced health issues. In October last year, the actress had shared that her mother was hospitalised. Later, she confirmed that her mother had been discharged.
That update had reassured fans and well-wishers.
However, her mother’s condition appeared to worsen again in the months that followed, eventually leading to the prolonged illness mentioned in the latest statement.
