A journalist made a claim that Vir Das was accidentally injured by Kangana Ranaut during a kissing scene in their 2014 film ‘Revolver Rani’. The claim circulated online and drew attention to the decade-old black comedy in which both actors appeared together.

Neither the journalist nor the specific details of the alleged injury were specified beyond the broad claim of an on-set accident during the scene.

Vir Das responds on X

Vir Das addressed the allegation directly on X. He called the story fiction and said there were no problems between him and Kangana during the shoot.

“Right. Just so we are clear. This story is pure fiction. Kangana was a complete professional and I still maintain, a truly gifted artist. This is unfair slander to her. She went on to call me a terrorist a few years later for my comedy but on set, no problems at all,” he wrote.

The post did two things at once. It defended Kangana against the specific allegation and acknowledged the public falling-out between the two that happened in the years after the film was made, when Kangana labelled his stand-up comedy as terrorism. Vir Das mentioned both in the same breath without expanding on either.

Kangana Ranaut also responds

Kangana Ranaut reacted to Vir Das’s post on X shortly after he published it. She thanked him for the support and dismissed the person behind the story.

“Thanks Vir, but who is she? Ewww, seems like some weirdo using us to satisfy her demonic s fantasies. I am eating your blood and you are traumatised and crying even today after a decade. How random,” she wrote.

About Revolver Rani

Revolver Rani was released in 2014. It is a black comedy directed by Sai Kabir Shrivastav. Kangana Ranaut played the lead role of Alka Singh, the character known as Revolver Rani. Vir Das played a Bollywood actor named Rohan Mehra in the film.

The supporting cast included Piyush Mishra, Zakir Hussain, and Zeishan Quadri. The film is now over a decade old, making the timing of the allegation notable given how much time has passed since the shoot.
