The trailer of Sonam Kapoor-starrer romantic drama, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is here to narrate a not-so-simple love story. The Bollywood film makes a brave attempt to bring forth a same-sex love story to the screens.
Although it isn’t the first film to deal with the LGBTQ theme, it certainly has a different approach.
The trailer of the film begins as a usual Bollywood romantic cinema. However, it takes an unexpected turn in the end. The clip starts off with Sweety’s (Sonam Kapoor) family on a lookout for a groom for her, unaware of the fact that she is actually in love with a girl. Expectedly, the family couldn’t accept it and turns against her. The multi-starrer film definitely looks promising and has already garnered huge appreciation on social media.

In a few hours of the release of the first trailer, it has taken over the internet and the social media users cannot hold it back from applauding the team for the new age cinema.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has an ensemble cast involving Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla.
The film is produced and presented by Vidhu Vinod Chopra in association with Fox Star Studios and directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar. It is set to release on 1 February 2019.
