Actress Swara Bhasker has chosen to use her platform for something far beyond movies and celebrity life by supporting Palestine. She recently stood with protestors in Mumbai, lending her voice to the ongoing demonstrations in support of Palestine.
At the protest, Swara made her stance very clear. She reminded people that the conflict did not begin on October 7, when Hamas carried out its attack. According to her, the world cannot speak about hostages without also speaking about the thousands of Palestinians who have lost their lives.

“They are only trying to stay alive,” she said. She went on to accuse the Israeli regime of openly declaring its aim to wipe Palestinians from the earth.
The actress has added ‘Free Palestine’ to her X (Twitter) bio. Her stand has come at a cost, she has been at the receiving end of trolling, and she is losing Instagram followers by the day.
At the time of writing this, the world’s top authority on food crises sounded a chilling alarm. According to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), famine has already gripped Gaza City, which is home to hundreds of thousands of people.
Unless a ceasefire is declared and aid is allowed in, the famine is expected to spread further south, to areas like Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis, by the end of next month.
The IPC’s warning comes after months of alerts from international aid groups. They have repeatedly said that restrictions on food, medical supplies, and other humanitarian aid, combined with the military offensive, are creating unbearable suffering for ordinary Palestinians.
