Model and actor Rohman Shawl recently shared a light-hearted moment about his past relationship with Bollywood star Sushmita Sen.
In a chat with Instant Bollywood, Rohman spoke about his fondness for diamonds and revealed why he hasn’t been able to gift Sushmita the one she loves most.

Rohman Shawl, who dated Sushmita Sen for several years, was asked if they ever gifted each other diamonds during their time together.

With a smile, he explained that Sushmita has a very specific taste when it comes to diamonds, one that currently goes beyond his budget.
“Jis hisab ke unko diamond pasand hai, abhi meri aukaat nahi itna bada kharidne ki. (The kind of diamond she likes, I can’t afford it right now),” Rohman said honestly.
“She has a favourite diamond, it’s 22 carats! So it will take me a lot of time to earn enough for that. But God willing, I’ll make it happen someday.”

In fact, Rohman was recently spotted at a family get-together at Sushmita’s Mumbai home.
Back in December 2021, Sushmita had announced their separation with a heartfelt Instagram post. She shared a picture of the two of them and wrote, “We began as friends, we remain friends!!! The relationship was long over… the love remains!!!”
Fans have appreciated their mature way of handling the breakup. Both continue to support each other publicly.
On the work front, Sushmita Sen last appeared in the biographical drama series ‘Taali: Bajaungi Nahi, Bajwaungi’ (2023), directed by Ravi Jadhav. In the series, she portrayed transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant, a role that earned her much praise.
Meanwhile, Rohman Shawl is focusing on his personal growth and career.
