Bollywood’s glitz is facing a dark shadow! Just days after gunshots rang out outside superstar director Rohit Shetty’s house, actor Ranveer Singh is now on edge after receiving a chilling threat in a WhatsApp voice note. Mumbai’s film city vibes are turning scary real fast.

Following the threat, security around Ranveer’s house was immediately tightened, and the Mumbai Police swung into action. A manhunt for the sender is currently underway.
Rohit Shetty shooting: How it happened
The city is still reeling from the shooting outside Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence. Five bullets were fired, leaving three visible holes in the building, as captured in exclusive footage by IANS.
Shetty’s house, a high-security tower with two gates and over 10 CCTV cameras, could have been a ticking time bomb if the bullets had strayed. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Mumbai Crime Branch investigations revealed the car used in the shooting came all the way from Pune. A man sold it to Aditya Gayki for Rs 30,000 just a few days before the attack. Aditya, along with another accused, Samarth Pomaji, left the vehicle at a pre-decided spot in Juhu, ready for the next step.
Here’s the twist: the group who bought and moved the car had no clue who the actual shooter was. It was Shubham Lonkar who ordered the shooter to pick up the car and carry out the attack. Police say this method of hiring multiple small groups, each unaware of the other has been used in previous crimes.
Immediately after the firing, senior Mumbai Police officers and Crime Branch teams rushed to Rohit Shetty’s residence. The suspects, however, managed to escape. Investigators are now tracking every lead, from the Pune connection to the voice-note threat against Ranveer Singh.
