Shikhar Pahariya, the boyfriend of Janhvi Kapoor, turned 29 today, and while fans across Maharashtra flooded Instagram with birthday wishes, one tribute really made some role their eyes. Someone (yes, someone) has two tattoos of Shikhar on their arms! One features his face, and the other boldly reads “Shikhar dada.” Shikhar himself reshared the story this morning.

Shikhar isn’t just Janhvi Kapoor’s beau. He’s got some serious pedigree. Born in 1996 to Sanjay Pahariya and Smruti Shinde, he is the maternal grandson of former Maharashtra CM Sushilkumar Shinde. His aunt, Praniti Shinde, is a three-time MLA.
Education-wise, Shikhar graduated and then worked as an investment analyst in London. In 2018, he co-founded an entertainment and gaming company with his brother Veer, who is an actor.
Shikhar looks sporty and socially conscious too. A polo player, he has represented India in international tournaments, according to his wikipedia page. Internet says he is also actively involved in philanthropy, women’s empowerment initiatives, and environmental causes.
