Bollywood has seen many dramatic nights, but this one felt extra special. Cameras were flashing at the screening of ‘Ikkis’. What stole the spotlight was Rekha’s graceful gesture of giving a flying kiss to the ‘Ikkis’ poster that shows Agastya Nanda.

Rekha gives a flying kiss to Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson

Veteran actress Rekha made heads turn the moment she arrived. Dressed with her usual elegance, she walked the red carpet calmly. But soon did something that left everyone watching in silence.

Rekha stopped in front of a poster featuring the late Dharmendra. With folded hands and a bowed head, she stood there for a few seconds paying quiet respect.

Then came another moment that melted hearts. Rekha moved to Agastya Nanda’s poster, gently placed her hand on it, and blew a flying kiss.

Social media was quick to buzz, especially since old rumours about Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan suddenly came rushing back into public memory.

Agastya Nanda’s big moment

For Agastya Nanda, this night was huge. The grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan is stepping into serious cinema with ‘Ikkis’.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film is a war biopic based on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest hero to receive the Param Vir Chakra.

Amitabh Bachchan turns emotional on his blog

Amitabh Bachchan, who had attended an earlier screening, later poured his heart out on his blog. His words read less like a superstar’s review and more like a grandfather’s diary.

He went back in time remembering the day Agastya was born: rushing to the hospital, holding him as a newborn, joking about the colour of his eyes, and watching him grow up.

From a baby playing with his beard to a grown man standing tall on the big screen, Big B relived it all in one emotional flow.

Big B made it clear that his praise was not biased. He described Agastya’s performance as honest and raw saying that whenever Agastya appeared on screen, he couldn’t look away.

He also praised the film’s writing, direction, and overall presentation. The ending, he said, left him silent with eyes full of tears, pride, and joy.

Ikkis release date and cast

‘Ikkis’ also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, and Rahul Dev. Set to release on January 1, 2026, the movie is already carrying strong expectations.
