From dating days to 13 years of marriage: Saba shares Kareena and Saif’s love story

Thirteen years, two kids, and countless memories later, Bollywood’s royal couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are still going strong. The duo, who tied the knot on October 16, 2012, are celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary this Thursday, and love is clearly still in the air.

While fans flooded social media with good wishes, it was Saif’s sister, Saba Ali Khan Pataudi, whose post stole everyone’s heart. She shared a beautiful tribute to her ‘Bhai and Bhabijaan’, along with a couple of unseen photos; one from the time they were dating, and another from the present day.

In her post, Saba poured her heart out with affection and humour writing, “From the pics I captured THEN, while you both were dating … To the ones taken NOW, Time seems to have stood still. You both still have that special chemistry n vibe, While one drives you crazy 😉 ie bhai… The other is patient n ….verrrry patient , at timez!!! ie. Bebo (Lol.) (sic).”

Her playful tone was balanced with genuine admiration. She praised Kareena for her authenticity and effortless charm, adding, “Bebo, I admire your no-nonsense, straightforward attitude. You’ve kept it real. Welcome to the family again!”

Saba ended her message on a warm note, blessing the couple with, “Keep looking at each other with that love shining through just like in your wedding photo. Love and duas always.”

Kareena and Saif first worked together in films like ‘LOC Kargil’ (2003) and ‘Omkara’ (2006) but sparks reportedly flew during the shoot of ‘Tashan’ in 2008. Their romance quickly became one of Bollywood’s most talked-about love stories.

In October 2012, the two tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life together both as actors and as parents.

The couple welcomed their first son, Taimur Ali Khan, in 2016, and their second son, Jehangir (Jeh), in 2021. Saif also shares two grown-up children, Sara and Ibrahim, with his former wife, actress Amrita Singh.
