“All persons are required to take note that my decision to sever all ties with my family members has been arrived at after very careful consideration on my part and in view of the unfortunate past events,” he wrote.

He outlined troubling experiences from his past, claiming that between 2005 and 2007, they gave him “unwanted forced medication.” He further alleged that between 2005 and 2006, they kept him under house arrest against his wishes.

Faissal also said that in October 2007, when he resisted giving up his signatory rights, he left home. Following this, he claimed that his mother, Zeenat Tahir Husain, and his elder sister, Nikhat Hegde, accused him of suffering from paranoid schizophrenia and being a danger to society.

“The court case took about five months for hearing and disposal. And in February 2008, the court passed final judgment in my favor and rejected the allegations and contentions made by my family members. It is a matter of record,” Faissal added.

Faissal’s statement also addresses recent developments. He accused his family of defaming him by calling his past remarks “misleading” in media reports during August 2025. He claimed that the family has been responsible for creating difficulties in his personal and professional life since 2005.

“My family members have now, once again, conspired against me and defamed me by publishing false statements in print and social media,” he said.

He urged the public and media to respect his privacy, emphasizing that his decision to cut ties comes after long and careful consideration. Faissal also indicated that he plans to take further legal action next month by filing a writ petition to pursue his claims in court.

This announcement comes after a previous statement from Aamir Khan and his family, who described Faissal’s earlier remarks as misleading.
