‘Drishyam 3’ to begin Goa schedule in January after wrapping Mumbai Shoot amid Akshaye Khanna exit

Just when fans thought the biggest twists of ‘Drishyam’ lived only inside Ajay Devgn’s calm eyes and clever silences, real-life suspense entered the picture. While whispers about Akshaye Khanna’s sudden exit continue to make noise, the makers of ‘Drishyam 3’ are pressing pause on rumours and pressing play on shooting. The next big schedule of the film is all ready to roll in Goa, starting January 8.

Drishyam 3: From Mumbai to Goa

After wrapping up the Mumbai schedule, the makers are shifting base to Goa for a long and important phase of filming.

The Goa schedule is likely to run till the end of February making it one of the film’s biggest outdoor shoots.

All the main cast members will be part of this leg including Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor.

Jaideep Ahlawat enters the ‘Drishyam 3’ world

Adding fresh intrigue to the franchise is the entry of Jaideep Ahlawat.

While details about his character are being kept under wraps, his casting has already excited fans.

What really happened with Akshaye Khanna?

Akshaye Khanna’s exit has become one of the most talked-about topics around ‘Drishyam 3’. The actor has been earning praise for his recent performance in ‘Dhurandhar’. And he reportedly stepped away from ‘Drishyam 3’ due to disagreements over money and creative decisions.

Industry buzz suggests that Akshaye asked for significant hike in his fee with figures like ₹21 crore doing the rounds. The producers were reportedly unable to match this amount within the film’s budget.
