Aneet Padda is quickly becoming a name to remember in Bollywood. But while many are discovering her for the first time in the hit film ‘Saiyaara’, this is not actually her first time facing the camera.
Aneet comes from Amritsar, Punjab, where she grew up in a middle-class family. Her journey to the big screen didn’t happen overnight.

She finished her studies at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. Alongside her education, she also tried her hand at modeling.
This opened some doors for her, and soon she was appearing in advertisements for brands like Nescafe, Paytm, and Cadbury. These small appearances gave her the confidence to step into acting.
Her first acting break came in 2022 with the film ‘Salaam Venky’, directed by Revathi. The movie starred Bollywood veteran Kajol, and Aneet got the chance to share screen space with her in her very first film.
For a newcomer, acting alongside Kajol was a big deal, and Aneet Padda has often spoken about how much she learned from that experience.
After ‘Salaam Venky’, she landed a role in the Amazon Prime Video web series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’. In the show, she played Roohi Ahuja, a character that many viewers connected with. This role helped her get more attention from casting directors and audiences alike.
Now, with ‘Saiyaara’, Aneet has truly made her mark. The film has taken the box office by storm. In just four days, ‘Saiyaara’ crossed the ₹100 crore mark, making it the fourth biggest opening of the year.
The film is already competing with some of the year’s biggest blockbusters, including Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’.
Ahaan Panday, who stars opposite Aneet in the film, has also gained a lot of attention. But for Aneet, the success feels extra special because of the long journey she’s had from ads and small roles to being a lead actress in a box office hit.
The makers of ‘Saiyaara’ seem to have planned the film’s release very well, and the timing has worked in their favor.
