It appears that Ranveer Singh is all set to take 2019 too with a storm; what with his upcoming films are dropping hints by a dozen.
2018 has already been a great one for the hunk as he broke several records and is basking in the glory of the super success of Padmaavat and Simmba.
With Ranveer’s latest offering—Kapil Dev’s ’93, it seems that a big addition to the ensemble cast has already been made. Kabir Khan’s film, based on the life of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, is the much-anticipated film as Ranveer Singh will be essaying the role of Kapil Dev. And now we have heard that Padmaavat ‘queen’ Deepika Padukone is all set to play the role of Ranveer’s on-screen wife in the biopic.

Yes, you heard it right! According to the latest reports by Deccan Chronicle, the discussion about casting is on after which it will be confirmed whether or not Deepika Padukone will be seen in the film.
“Deepika’s role requires just seven days of shooting. The filmmakers believe the part where Romi Bhatia left the stadium mid-way assuming that West Indies will win the 1983 World Cup final, and the difficulties she encountered in coming back into the stadium when India was on the verge of winning, can be well emoted by Deepika,” said the source.
It would be interesting to see real-life husband and wife as an on-screen couple.

On Sunday, on the occasion of Kapil Dev’s birthday, Ranveer Singh shared a heartfelt birthday wish and wrote, “Happy Birthday, Legend! #KapilDev @83thefilm @kabirkhankk.”
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for his next release—Gully Boy, starring Alia Bhatt, which is set to release on February 14, 2019.
