According to her father, Sumit Bhatnagar, Suhani had been battling dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory disease causing skin rash and muscle weakness. Despite efforts to seek medical help, her condition worsened, leading to her admission to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, on February 7. Tragically, she succumbed to medical complications on February 16, leaving behind a void in the hearts of many.
Suhani’s talent and dedication to her craft were evident in her portrayal of the young Babita Phogat in “Dangal,” a film that resonated deeply with audiences worldwide. Alongside Zaira Wasim, who played young Geeta Phogat, Suhani’s performance contributed to the film’s success, capturing the essence of the Phogat sisters’ journey to wrestling stardom under their father’s guidance, portrayed by Aamir Khan.
