As soon as the news reached her, Celina took to social media and poured her heart out.

She wrote about how the Delhi High Court “restored a soldier’s right” and upheld her brother’s dignity. Celina made it clear that this fight was about human rights, dignity, and the legal protection every citizen deserves, no matter where they are.

The UAE-based law firm, Khaled Almarri & Partners Advocates, has agreed to represent Major Vikrant completely pro bono, meaning free of cost.

In her note, Celina mentioned that this legal appointment is going to protect her brother’s rights under the Vienna Convention. This international agreement ensures that foreign nationals get proper legal access and fair treatment when detained abroad.

Celina also said she has placed full faith in the Ministry of External Affairs to take the case forward in UAE courts and work with local authorities.

Celina did not forget to thank the many lawyers, advisors, and senior legal voices who supported the case in India.

The next hearing in this case will take place on February 10. As Celina wrote, she truly believes they will bring back “our soldier who gave his entire youth in service to our nation.”
