In the photos, Alia is sporting a new short hair look for the film. Alia and Vedang appear in a candid mood as they sit beside each other. The post garnered immediate attention from fans and industry members alike.

Zoya Akhtar, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vasan Bala dropped heart emoticons on Alia’s post. Khushi Kapoor, rumored to be dating Vedang, commented with white heart emojis. Vedang also shared the same pictures on his Instagram handle, expressing his excitement.

He wrote, “And that’s a wrap on Jigra @aliaabhatt. A film and a character that has given me as much as taken away from me. A journey that’s meant everything. See you at the movies on 27th September.”

Helmed by Vasan Bala, ‘Jigra’ will be co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself.

The film is slated to hit theatres on September 27, 2024.

Director Vasan Bala has previously helmed films like ‘Monica O My Darling’, a crime thriller ‘Peddlers’, and ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’.

‘Jigra’ was announced last September, with the announcement video depicting the film as a tale of a sister’s love for her brother and her willingness to do anything to protect him. ‘Jigra’ marks the first on-screen collaboration between Alia and Vasan.

Aside from this project, Alia will also star in director Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.

The film promises to deliver another story of friendship in the vein of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’.

Meanwhile, ‘Jigra’ marks Vedang’s second film following his debut last year in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’. (ANI)
