Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday have taken the film world by storm with their debut film ‘Saiyaara’. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri, has become a massive box-office hit and is being hailed as a much-needed boost for Bollywood.

But just as Aneet is being called the next big thing, news broke about her upcoming appearance in a streaming series, and fans were left wondering what that means for her future in big cinema.

But there’s a twist. ‘Nyaya’ was actually shot ‘before’ Aneet even signed ‘Saiyaara’. So even though ‘Nyaya’ is releasing after ‘Saiyaara’, it doesn’t reflect a change in her career plans.

A trade insider clarified the situation, saying, “’Nyaya’ was completed before ‘Saiyaara’ happened. It’s just a matter of scheduling. Aneet is definitely being positioned as a theatrical heroine for Yash Raj Films. She’s just 22 and already part of a film that could cross ₹400 crore, that’s huge. She’s clearly a Gen Z star and will be seen in more big-screen roles going forward.”

According to the same source, the production house has big plans for Aneet. “The goal is to build her image as the face of this generation. That only works if she stays active in cinema halls, where stars are truly born and celebrated,” they said.

Meanwhile, ‘Saiyaara’ continues to perform strongly in theatres. Despite being a film with two newcomers, it made an impressive ₹21.5 crore on its opening day in India and has already crossed ₹326 crore worldwide. With its second week running, the film shows no signs of slowing down.

Director Mohit Suri seems to have struck gold. At a time when Hindi cinema was struggling to find its footing, ‘Saiyaara’ has given audiences a reason to return to theatres.
