Just when everyone thought the Bigg Boss 19 noise had finally settled, fresh drama has knocked on social media’s door and this time, singer-composer Amaal Mallik is clearly not in the mood to stay silent.

Bigg Boss 19 may have wrapped up, but the aftershocks are still being felt online. One of the top five finalists, Amaal Mallik, is once again trending not for his music, but for a heated post aimed at fans of fellow contestant Tanya Mittal.

The reason? A remark Amaal made inside the Bigg Boss house, where he used the word “dog” during an argument. Though the moment happened days ago, the debate around it refuses to cool down.

How it all started: One tweet, many reactions

The situation flared up when Amaal’s manager tweeted a request asking users not to drag the singer’s family into the controversy. This was in response to online trolling directed at Amaal over his comment.

Instead of calming things down, the tweet sparked a fresh wave of anger. Several netizens, especially Tanya Mittal’s supporters, demanded that Amaal issue a public apology.

Amaal breaks his silence

Amaal Mallik finally responded with a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter). The singer made it clear that he had already apologised more than once.

He said that he apologised personally and also on social media, not just to Tanya but to all contestants for anything that went wrong during the show. Amaal also reminded fans that his very first post after leaving the Bigg Boss house was meant for Tanya.

“Just friends, nothing more,” says Amaal

Addressing rumours and fan-made stories, Amaal clarified that his relationship with Tanya Mittal was strictly friendly. According to him, there were no romantic feelings involved from either side, only friendship inside the house.

He added that while he has stopped his own fans from getting aggressive, that does not mean he will accept online abuse quietly.

Amaal didn’t stop there. He also took a sharp dig at Tanya’s reaction to the Bigg Boss 19 finale. The singer claimed that Tanya did not handle Gaurav Khanna’s win well and behaved as if she was unaware of the result.

Wrapping up his post, Amaal made a simple request: end the drama.
