Seated in a car with filming equipment in hand, Mahesh Bhatt is seen looking out of the car. He sports a black cardigan and glares atop his head.
Alia captioned the picture, “It’s moments like these #sadak2 #sadak2diaries #gratitude.”
Soni Razdan, actor and Alia’s mother, commented on the picture with, “Awww. Warrior king.”
Kunal Khemu also wrote, “You lucky people!!”
Sadak 2 is a sequel to the 1991 film Sadak starrring Sanjay Dut and Pooja Dutt. Both of the veteran actors will return in the sequel, in what capacity exactly, it is unknown.
Alia had earlier shared a picture with her half-sister and actor Pooja Bhatt from her Sadak 2 diaries from Mysore, Karnataka.
Sadak 2 will mark Mahesh Bhatt’s return to the director’s chair after a gap of 20 years. Bhatt is one of the most acclaimed directors of his time. He is best known for films like Daddy, Aashiqui, and Saaransh which was also India’s official entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign language film for that year.
Aditya Roy Kapur is also part of the star cast and will feature alongside Alia Bhatt in the upcoming film.
Known details of the plot suggest that the film is about Ravi’s( Sanjay Dutt) depression and how he helps a young woman( played by Alia Bhatt) to expose a fake guru running an ashram.
Produced under the Vishesh Films banner, Sadak 2 is slated to release on 10 July 2020.
