The National Testing Agency has said that the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate courses (CUET-UG) 2026 will be conducted in May, and has issued an advisory asking candidates to stay alert for upcoming application updates.

Sharing the information on X, the agency said the exam will be organised in 13 languages and conducted in a computer-based format at centres in India and overseas. CUET-UG is used by central universities and several other institutions for admission to undergraduate programmes.

The agency said scores from the exam will be accepted by 47 central universities and more than 300 participating colleges. Details of available programmes and the revised syllabus have already been uploaded on the official website (https://cuet.nta.nic.in/cuetug-2026-syllabus/), while the application process will open shortly.

Students have been asked to check that their Aadhaar details are accurate and up to date, as these may be needed during the application process and at later stages of the exam.

The National Testing Agency functions under the Ministry of Education and is responsible for conducting major entrance exams. CUET allows students to apply to several universities through one exam, instead of taking multiple entrance tests, making the admission process simpler and more accessible.
