The Delhi Police arrested a 32-year-old woman along with 34 stolen mobile phones and a tablet in southeast Delhi’s New Friends Colony, officials said on Sunday.

The accused, identified as Jasmin, a resident of Taimoor Nagar, was held during routine patrolling on Friday.

According to a police officer, Jasmin was stopped near Taimoor Nagar while carrying a large bag.

Upon searching her belongings, police recovered 34 mobile phones and one tablet, the officer added.

According to police, Jasmin is a habitual offender with a criminal history, including involvement in four previous theft-related cases.

During questioning, she disclosed that she used to purchase stolen mobile phones at low prices from two individuals and resell them at higher rates for profit.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS, and further investigation is underway.
