UP: 5% discount on construction for adopting green standards

UP: 5% discount on construction for adopting green standards

To encourage compliance with green standards in constructions, the Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh has offered a special discount of 5 per cent.

This information was given by Manish Kumar Gupta, vice-chairman of the State Traders Welfare Board, here during a programmee on Friday.

Addressing a conference organised on the occasion on environment-friendly construction, Gupta said that up to 5 per cent concession will be given for the construction of buildings that conform to the green standards.

The conference was organised by Assocham, the country’s premier chamber of commerce and industry, under the Green and Environment-friendly campaign: JAM.

Gupta said more than 1,500 buildings in the state are helping to achieve the goal of green construction. He said whatever results will be after discussions and deliberations in this conference, he will present them to the chief minister and steps will be taken in that direction in pursuant to the policies and laws which need to be improved.

Earlier, Member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and Chairman of SR Group Pawan Singh Chauhan invited entrepreneurs to invest in the state. He said the government is standing with the investors at every step.

Chauhan said, “Welcome to the land of Uttar Pradesh. You invest here, I assure you on behalf of the government that you will not face any inconvenience. Whatever investment you make, good luck will come in it”.
