A Mumbai-based TV actress filed a complaint against a 25-year-old man who she accused of raping her on the pretext of marriage.
The complaint was filed with the Alwar Police under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The Alwar Police registered the case on Wednesday after receiving a zero FIR from Oshiwara police station in Mumbai.
In her complaint, the actress, a 22-year-old former model, accused the man of raping her in Neemrana on 4 September. Neemrana is a popular tourist place in Rajasthan’s Alwar.

According to the complaint, the woman said that she met the man while studying in a Mumbai college in 2014. They re-established contact this year through a social media platform.
The man introduced her to his family members and friends after they met in August in Delhi. They then decided to travel to Neemrana in Rajasthan on 4 September, where the crime allegedly took place.
According to IANS, summons has been sent to the accused and the victim has been asked to visit Neemrana for further investigation. The police, however, said that both the victim and accused are yet to respond.
