The police have seized a sports utility vehicle used for reckless driving and performing dangerous stunts in west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden.
According to police, the sports utility vehicle (SUV) also had a beacon on its roof, and the videos of the stunts went viral on social media.
However, the cops are yet to nab the driver who was behind the wheel, and efforts were underway to catch hold of him, the police said.

DCP West Delhi further informed that videos of these stunts were proudly posted on Instagram to garner social media followers, misguiding impressionable youth.
The police had received a complaint by the Residents Welfare Association(RWA) of Rajouri Garden, which highlighted reckless driving and stunts performed by certain vehicles in the area.
Accordingly, the police took cognizance and registered a FIR on February 27 in this connection considering the gravity of the situation, as such stunts could jeopardize life along the Najafgarh road.
The police also informed that the vehicle which was seen in the video did not have a registration plate, as the driver wanted to conceal the identity, however, with the help of the CCTV footage which was diligently scrutinized by the police team led to the identification and seizure of the vehicle.
The police official has said that such videos not only demonstrate the irresponsible behavior of an individual but also cause heart-wrenching pain among the road accident victims and their kin.
