The minister, on the occasion of the National Sports Day, said that to ensure that players from Delhi raise India’s flag high at the global level, the state government will provide encouragement and develop all necessary facilities in the city.

Indraj also addressed a gathering during a program on the occasion of the National Sports Day at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence in Rohini Sector-23, where he encouraged students to be involved in sports activities.

Indraj said that under the visionary Khelo India initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there has been a significant increase in facilities for players as well as the number of medals won.

He informed that modern sports complexes, stadiums, and mini grounds will be developed in Delhi, making sports facilities accessible in both rural and urban areas.

A talent search campaign will be launched at the school and college levels, and players will be given opportunities for appointments in Grade A, B, and C government jobs, he added.

As per the minister, dilapidated stadiums will be renovated and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, and the players will be given high-quality coaching, resources, and all possible support.
