In a fatal accident in North East Delhi’s New Usmanpur, a six-year-old boy died after coming under an RTV (minibus) on Sunday evening, the police said.
According to the police, a motorcycle came under the RTV’s front tyre in which the boy was killed while his father and grandfather escaped with injuries.

The child was rushed to the JPC Hospital, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The accident had taken place near first pusta in New Usmanpur between a motorcycle and RTV, a police official said, adding, “The motorcycle had been crushed under the front left tyre of RTV.”
According to the police, the child was riding the bike along with his father and grandfather when the mishap occurred.
The driver of RTV fled the spot following the accident and a case for rash and negligent driving leading to death is being registered in this connection, and efforts were on to nab the driver of the RTV (minibus).
In another accident, a man and his mother died during the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday after the bike they were riding hit a divider.
According to the police, an eyewitness said the bike lost its balance and hit the divider resulting in the mother-son duo getting injured.
The accident took place at Sarai Kale Khan while the victims were going towards ITO, and were coming from Faridabad. The two were residents of Faridabad, the police said, adding that other factors were being verified in the matter.
