As part of the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan—an initiative focused on the role of police in tribal areas, director general of police (DGP) Akshay Sachdeva visited Phodong Senior Secondary School in Mangan district on Monday to foster community engagement.

During his visit, the DGP interacted with students and members of the general public, sharing insights on crucial topics such as cybercrime, mental health, and the role of police in crime prevention. His address aimed to build awareness and trust between the police and the local community.

Later, the DGP held a briefing session with personnel from Phodong police station and Kabi Outpost, where he stressed the importance of both mental and physical well-being in day-to-day policing. He reiterated a policy of zero tolerance toward drug abuse and trafficking.

The DGP also highlighted Vision/Mission 2025, a strategic roadmap aimed at strengthening and modernising the police force by the year 2025.

The Mangan district police extended sincere gratitude to the DGP for his visit and encouragement to the force and the community.
