Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Thursday accused AAP leaders of politicising sensitive issues such as deaths caused by falling trees and waterlogging during the heavy rains.
He said even a single death due to waterlogging or wall collapse in Delhi is deeply unfortunate and the BJP government treats such incidents with the seriousness and sensitivity they deserve.

In this context, the BJP leader condemned Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi assembly Atishi’s demand for the resignation of the PWD minister for a death caused by a fallen tree and her colleague, Saurabh Bhardwaj, holding a press conference on the issue.
“AAP leaders were insensitive while in power, and now that they are in the Opposition, they’ve become experts in petty and insensitive politics, ” he added.
“It is unfortunate that Atishi, who is now demanding a minister’s resignation over a single death due to a fallen tree, could not offer even a few words of condolence during her own tenure when nearly 50 people of all ages, including three civil service aspirants, lost their lives last year,” Sachdeva stated.
