Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday stated that the seizure of Rs 7.44 crore worth of assets by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) related to former minister Satyendar Jain, who is a close aide of Arvind Kejriwal, has exposed the dark face of the Aam Aadmi Party.

He said that for the past three to four years, AAP leaders have repeatedly accused the BJP government of misusing power by conducting fake raids, and while claiming to be innocent, they used to say, “We haven’t done anything wrong, that’s why not even a penny was found in any raid.”

The BJP leader further alleged that whether it was the deposit and manipulation of over ₹7 crore in banks by two close associates of Jain during demonetization, or the construction of the “Sheesh Mahal” during the COVID period, all of this clearly shows that AAP leaders are experts at exploiting emergency situations for corruption.

It was on September 15 that the ED provisionally attached immovable properties worth Rs. 7.44 crore belonging to companies beneficially owned and controlled by Jain, ex-minister in the Government of Delhi, under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
