Based on the theme ‘Swadesh Anurag’ – Love for One’s Country, Navy Children School celebrated its Diamond Jubilee Annual Day at Talkatora Indoor Stadium recently. Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Shashi Tripathi, President, Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), were the chief guests. The event was also attended by senior Naval officers, dignitaries, guests, and parents.
In a statement issued here, the school said the Annual Day program featured diverse performances by students celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage and national pride. Highlights included a classical dance, a patriotic performance by students with special needs, and a powerful choreo-drama, all culminating in a tribute to the nation’s progress and defence forces.

Manil Kumar and Khushi Janghu, the best all-rounder students of AY 2024–25, were presented with the Capt. Mahendra Nath Mulla Memorial Award by family members of Capt. M.N. Mulla, MVC.
A special ‘Diamond Jubilee Song,’ composed by the teachers of NCS Delhi with visuals prepared with the support of NWWA, was released on the occasion by the President, NWWA. The ‘Diamond Jubilee’ edition of the school magazine Anchor, and a book titled A Fleet of Tales, a collection of stories written by NCS Delhi students—were also released by the Chief of the Naval Staff and the President, NWWA.
The Chief of the Naval Staff commended the school’s stellar performance in academics, sports, and co-curricular fields. He praised its efforts in upgrading academic facilities and infrastructure development.
Sharing invaluable life lessons from his five-decade-long journey in uniform, which began at Sainik School, Rewa, CNS emphasized the importance of self-discipline as an “invisible superpower” that makes individuals stronger, smarter, and sharper. Other key takeaways included the benefits of reading, perseverance, humility paired with confidence, and the spirit of service to society.
He urged the students to dream big, work hard, and cultivate self-confidence, self-awareness, and selflessness as they grow into professionals. Stressing the significance of giving back to society, he expressed confidence that the students’ dedication and spirit will play a vital role in realizing India’s vision of a prosperous and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
