As stated in the FIR lodged by the family members of the victim, the crime was committed on Tuesday night . The 16-year-old victim went to borrow some kitchen utensils from the house of her neighbour Tahir . At that time, Tahir was with his friends Sarfaraj and Nasir, who caught the girl and allegedly raped her taking turns.

She returned home and narrated the incident to her elder sister who went to neighbour’s house but by that time all three of them had left the house.

The tormented girl than set herself afire. The family members rushed her to a private hospital but she succumbed to her injuries late in the night.
