Jana Sena chief choice of seats clashes with TDP leader

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan announced that he would contest from the Kapu-dominated Pithapuram Assembly constituency in the Kakinada district. However, soon after, supporters of local TDP leader Ram Gopal Varma started protesting and burning publicity material of TDP.

Varma said in an X post that he would contest from the same constituency. Last time, he contested from Gajuwaka and Bheemapuram and lost from both constituencies. It is not clear if he will contest from the Kakinada Lok Sabha seat. The actor rued that his party ended up with far less number of seats because he was mediating between TDP and BJP.
