The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has given call for a state-wide Bandh in Haryana on 8 September in support of the completion of the Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) canal and Dadupur Nalvi canal and to highlight the sufferings of the traders caused by the provisions of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), e-trading and demonetisation.

The leader of Opposition in Haryana Assembly, Abhay Singh Chautala said the Bandh will be observed on 8 September, 2018 by the traders in support of the above demands.

Talking about the issues that the INLD would be raising in the upcoming Assembly session, he said that the party would once again raise the scandal of Robert Vadra owned Skylight.

Hospitality, Omkareshwar Properties and DLF that was facilitated by the connivance of the then government of Haryana under Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

He reminded that it was on 16 August, 2014 that the INLD had submitted a comprehensive charge-sheet against the misdeeds of the then government under the active patronage of Hooda.

The charge-sheet had demanded that a high powered Inquiry Commission be constituted to investigate the allegations and if found true criminal cases be filed.

Chautala said the subject of charge-sheet was also raised in the Assembly by him and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had assured the House that after studying the charge-sheet, appropriate action would be taken.

He regretted that after sitting over the charges for four years, the police has filed an FIR based on the complaint of a person who is suspected to be having close ties with the BJP leaders. This makes the whole action suspect.

Among other issues that will be raised in the Assembly through adjournment motions and calling attention notices are illegal mining, deaths of cows in Gaushalas, drug smuggling and addiction, SYL canal, deteriorating law and order situation and the pitiable condition of health services in the state, Chaulata said.
