The Delhi Police conducted a raid on a godown in Narela’s Vishal Bagh, seizing 1,060 bags of agriculture-grade urea and 478 bags of technical-grade urea, officials said on Sunday.
According to Hareshwar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, the raid was carried out on Saturday, following a PCR call on Friday, informing about the illegal storage of urea. “Our team has confidence in 1,060 bags of agriculture-grade urea and 478 bags of technical-grade urea from the godown,” the officer mentioned in his statement.

“Atul Bansal, who is the owner of the godown, allegedly did not possess a valid license to store or sell urea.”’
“The fertilizer inspector, Satyavir Sharma, inspected the godown and has collected samples for further analysis,” he added.
A FIR has been registered under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act at Narela police station in the case.
Further details in the case are awaited as investigation is on.
In a separate incident reported from Noida the Fertilizer Task Force conducted raids on 28 fertilizer sellers and issued notices to four vendors for violating regulations.
