Sharma said on 2 October, the party would spread the cleanliness message of Mahatma Gandhi and carry out cleanliness drives in their respective areas. Apart from this, the meeting of village and booth level office bearers would be held from October onwards with the ulterior motive of securing win in all LS seats.

“On 31 October, a run for unity would be organised in each block to the mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel,” he said. Sharma said a political proposal was mooted during the meeting which lauded the welfare schemes of Centre as well state government.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government in its four years rule had launched various schemes which is benefitting poor, farmers, youth and women. Several policy decisions had also been taken by the Central government which had given impetus to economic growth and the country had recorded 7.5 per cent GDP growth rate which is fastest in the world.

He said Modi government was working to double the income of farmers and now they were getting hiked MSP which is more than 1.5 times of the actual cost.

The government had launched 112 schemes for poverty eradication and it had benefitted over 22 crore people across the country. Furthermore, the Central government’s Mudra Yojana aimed at self-employment, had benefitted 12 crore people, of which 55 per cent are women.

Sharma lauded the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur government for several welfare schemes and said these had benefitted over 3 lakh persons in Himachal Pradesh.

“The party workers were urged to spread awareness on the welfare schemes launched by Centre as well state governments among masses so that the party is able to win all LS seats in Himachal,” he added.

He termed the coalition of Congress and opposition as a mere gimmick to stop PM Modi and said the coalition would not survive for long as the opposition party leaders didn’t have any leader or policy to counter Modi government’s achievements.

“PM Modi is most popular leader not only in India but across the world and he would once again return to power in 2019 elections,” he added.
