With this lead, a team laid a trap and apprehended the accused under Section 35(1)(D) of the BNSS.
Indora further said that, during sustained questioning, Bharat confessed to his involvement in the 2017 case in which he, along with his associates, allegedly kidnapped a minor girl, subjected her to sexual assault.
Initially, he was arrested by the officer. However, he was later released on bail. Fearing conviction after the completion of evidence, he stopped appearing in court, the DCP mentioned in his statement.

DCP (Crime) Indora said the arrest highlights the branch’s continued efforts to trace and bring absconding criminals to justice.
