Police seized filling machines, packaging material and raw paste from a rented godown as part of a crackdown on counterfeit dental products in outer Delhi.

Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has uncovered a large-scale operation that was producing and selling fake Sensodyne toothpaste in outer Delhi. One person, identified as Hari Om Mishra from Rohini’s Sector-2, has been arrested.
In a raid carried out on April 2, police found a stocked godown in Mahaveer Vihar, Khanjawala, filled with counterfeit goods and equipment used to manufacture the fake product.

How the operation was running
According to police, the team acted on specific inputs and searched a warehouse in C-Block. Inside, they recovered fake Sensodyne tubes, empty packaging, cartons, and machines used for filling and sealing. Raw paste and other packaging materials were also seized. The total value of the items is estimated to be in lakhs.

During questioning, Mishra told police he had rented the godown and was running the operation himself. He admitted to filling empty branded tubes with locally made paste and supplying them to the market without any licence or approval.
A case has been filed at the Crime Branch police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Copyright Act. Police said further investigation is ongoing to trace the supply chain and distribution network.
Investigators are examining safety clearances, property modifications and management responsibilities after the deadly Malviya Nagar hotel fire that killed 21 people.
Police officials said that the teams were conducting coordinated raids across multiple locations in the national capital to trace and arrested the suspect.
