The Delhi Police recovered the murder weapon used allegedly by Aaftab Amin Poonawala to chop off Shraddha Walker’s body into 35 pieces after killing her. The development came a day after the accused was sent to judicial custody.

Ever since the brutal murder was broken by the media, newer and more shocking revelations continue trickling in as the progression of the investigation. Now, the police have revealed that Aftab had a new girlfriend who he met through a dating app, Bumble App, after murdering Shraddha.

Not only this, the girl visited him at his flat where Shraddha’s body parts were stored in a refrigerator. What’s more, according to the Delhi Police, Aaftab gifted his new girlfriend the ring that originally belonged to Shraddha. His new girlfriend is a physiologist by profession.

The police have found a ‘saw’, one of the weapons used in the execution of the crime allegedly used by Aaftab Poonawala to chop Shraddha’s body into pieces.

Meanwhile, Aaftab’s third polygraph test is still underway at Delhi’s Rohini Forensic lab. Following the polygraph test, the police officials will conduct a narco analysis test that is touted to be helpful in nailing Shraddha’s murderer.

The recovery of the weapon and Shraddha’s belongings from Aaftab is expected to make the case strong as these will become evidence against Aaftab, according to the Delhi Police.

From the word go, the police has been in touch with the neighbours and others who live in the area to know if they found a foul smell or noticed anything suspicious in Aaftab. However, Aaftab seems to be a step ahead of the police as he carried out the murder and disposed off the body part quite meticulously.

Aaftab Amin Punanawala was a food and beverage consultant and also a food photographer. He also has an Instagram page. According to his Facebook page, he went to Saint Francis High School and earned a BMS degree from L S Raheja College.
