The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) dismantled an interstate drug cartel with the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of 592 grams of heroin, valued at over ₹3 crore in the international market, officials said on Thursday.
Police said the accused, identified as Sushil Arora and Shakti, were apprehended during a planned operation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said, “Arora, who hails from Delhi’s Jai Vihar in Baprola, has a criminal history and is also named in a robbery case.”
“During questioning, Arora admitted to his involvement in the crime. Lured by the prospect of easy money, he got involved in drug trafficking—procuring contraband from Bareilly and selling it in Delhi-NCR,” the officer stated.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the other accused, Shakti, a 24-year-old who ran a clothes ironing shop in Faridpur, Bareilly, fell into the trap after coming into contact with local miscreants and criminals.
DCP Yadav said that on July 31, the ANTF team apprehended Arora and recovered 292 grams of heroin along with ₹3 lakh in cash from his residence.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Shakti from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, along with the recovery of an additional 300 grams of a narcotic substance.
With this, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS, and further investigation is underway, the DCP stated.
