Delhi Police allotted land for New Domestic Airport Police Station at IGI Terminal-1

The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has handed over a 1,540 sq meter parcel of land to the Delhi Police for the construction of a new Domestic Airport Police Station at IGI Airport, Terminal-1, officials said on Tuesday.

The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has handed over a 1,540 sq meter parcel of land to the Delhi Police for the construction of a new Domestic Airport Police Station at IGI Airport, Terminal-1, officials said on Tuesday.

A senior officer stated that the land was handed over in the presence of Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi.

The land has been allotted to the Delhi Police at a nominal license fee of Re 1 per annum. The proposal for a permanent police facility at this location had been pending since 2008.

“The new police station will replace the existing temporary facility in the G5 Building. The land is located adjacent to the ARC Officers’ Mess, next to the CISF naka, on the road leading to the T-1D up-ramp at IGI Airport,” the officer added.

The ceremonial handover of the land was conducted between K Ramesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (General Administration and Land & Building), and Monomay Rai, Deputy CEO, DIAL.

The event was attended by several senior officers, including Rajesh Khurana, Special CP/DPHCL; Robin Hibu, Special CP/PTSD; and Vijay Singh, Joint CP/Transport Range.

“This development marks a significant milestone in strengthening public safety infrastructure at India’s busiest airport,” the officer said.
