Delhi Metro to run extra train trips to encourage use of public transport
This capacity expansion aims to ensure uninterrupted service and efficient passenger management during increased passenger journeys.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has said the metro train services will commence early at 3 am on Sunday for PNB Soldierathon Marathon on select metro corridors.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has said the metro train services will commence early at 3 am on Sunday for PNB Soldierathon Marathon on select metro corridors.
“There will be early metro services at 3:00 am on 5th April, 2026 (Sunday) to facilitate participants of the PNB Soldierathon Marathon at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium,” an official from the DMRC said.

The official said early metro services will commence on Yellow Line, from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram; Blue Line, from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali; and Violet Line, from Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh.

He further informed that trains will run at 30-minute intervals until 6:00 AM, thereafter, regular train services will operate as per the Sunday time table.
“Metro services on all other lines will start as per their regular Sunday time table only,” the official added.
