The Delhi Mayor proceeded to inspect other locations only after sanitation operations had begun and garbage collection vehicles of the Corporation had reached the site.

Residents of the area expressed satisfaction over the Delhi Mayor’s immediate intervention regarding the unhygienic conditions at the Railway Under Bridge, while local women, in particular, conveyed their gratitude to the Delhi Mayor.

Wahi also directed officials to immediately ensure proper lighting arrangements inside the underpass.

Thereafter, the Delhi Mayor expressed serious dissatisfaction over the extremely poor condition of the garbage collection point (Dhalao) in Sindhora Kalan.

Taking the prevailing unhygienic conditions and negligence seriously, he directed immediate action against the garbage collection company concerned.

Warning the officials, the Delhi Mayor instructed that mandatory cleaning of the Dhalao must be carried out twice daily and stated that if no improvement is observed during the next inspection, strict action will be initiated against the responsible officials and employees.

Subsequently, Wahi inaugurated a park developed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi at DDA Flats, Gulabi Bagh, and interacted with local residents.

Addressing the citizens, he stated that the responsibility of maintaining a clean and well-organised Delhi does not rest solely with the Corporation, but also with every citizen.

He appealed to the public to actively participate in maintaining cleanliness and cooperate in keeping public spaces clean and hygienic.

The Delhi Mayor stated that he has been continuously conducting inspections across various areas along with senior officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and that, wherever shortcomings in sanitation or civic amenities are found, immediate corrective measures are being ensured.

He reiterated that no inconvenience to the residents of Delhi will be tolerated and that accountability will be fixed for negligent officials and employees.

During the inspection of Roshanara Bagh, Wahi directed immediate repairs to the dilapidated office of the Horticulture Department. He also inspected the lake situated within Roshanara Bagh and instructed officials to ensure its regular cleaning.

In order to modernise the irrigation system within the park, the Delhi Mayor further directed the construction of a pump house so that trees and plants across the park may receive a regular water supply through sprinkler technology.

During the inspection, Wahi also took serious note of the absence of senior officials of the Horticulture Department and warned that such negligence would invite action in the future.
