The Delhi government has resumed the process of appointments on compassionate grounds in the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC) after eleven years.
At an event held at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday, Minister for Industries, Environment, Food and Supplies Manjinder Singh Sirsa distributed appointment letters to 24 candidates, each a legal heir of a deceased employee of the corporation.

Sharing the development, Sirsa said, “As soon as we conveyed to the Chief Minister Rekha Gupta that vacancies for families of deceased employees had remained unfilled for more than a decade, she expressed deep concern and promptly directed that these positions be filled without further delay.”
The minister said it is a matter of deep sorrow when any home faces a loss and the family struggles to make ends meet. “Our government is extremely sensitive to such cases, ensuring support in their hour of need, not endless rounds at government offices,” he added.
Sirsa said under CM Gupta’s leadership, the government is correcting the shortcomings of previous administrations, one step at a time, while he thanked her specially for supporting this initiative.
Meanwhile, in the presence of senior officers from DSIIDC, offer letters for various posts including Multi-Tasking Staff (11 candidates), Assistant Grade- III (7), Accounts Assistant (5), and Junior Stenographer (English) (1), were distributed to the beneficiaries here.
Encouraging the new appointees, Sirsa said, “You have been given the opportunity to serve the people of Delhi. I am confident you will excel in your new roles, further enhancing the spirit of our department.”
According to the minister, the initiative highlights Delhi government’s continued focus on sensitivity, timely support, and people first vision, while he added that the dispensation led by CM Gupta stands firmly with every family in distress.
