Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Gupta said her government plans to expand healthcare infrastructure while improving the quality and accessibility of public health services. The addition of the new facilities would reduce the need to refer patients requiring physiotherapy and day-care services to larger hospitals.

The Chief Minister also outlined the government’s plans to digitise healthcare services across Delhi’s public hospitals. According to her, patient records are being digitised, and an online appointment system has been introduced to reduce waiting times. She said government hospitals are also being integrated through a common digital health platform, and a portal showing real-time availability of ICU beds in government and private hospitals is under development.

Gupta said the Delhi government would continue to provide financial support for upgrading Municipal Corporation hospitals. She also reiterated the government’s “zero tolerance” policy against corruption, saying irregularities in the health department and other government departments would be dealt with strictly.

Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi, Jangpura MLA Tarvinder Singh Marwah, Deputy Mayor Monika Pant and Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma were among those present at the inauguration.

The Delhi government said it plans to modernise older Municipal Corporation hospitals as part of its broader efforts to strengthen public healthcare infrastructure across the Capital.
