Delhi Police found a black car parked in suspicious circumstances behind the Red Fort near Delhi Chalo Park during patrolling by a team from Kotwali police station yesterday. On checking the Hyundai Santro bearing a Jammu and Kashmir registration number, two persons were found inside: Mudassar, a resident of Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, and a minor boy. During the inquiry, Mudassar produced an identity card purportedly issued by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which appeared suspicious.
The incident has occurred while the probe is underway for the high-intensity blast that took place in a car near the Red Fort on 11 November 2025, which killed 11 persons and injured several others. So far, the National Investigation Agency has arrested nine accused in connection with the bomb blast.

Police have apprehended Mudassar for allegedly impersonating as an official of the central agency and taking a minor boy to the national capital after allegedly promising him a job.
According to a preliminary investigation, the accused had been cheating economically vulnerable families on the pretext of providing jobs in Delhi in exchange for money. Police added that he had taken an advance payment from the minor’s family after assuring them of arranging a job.
A case has been registered at PS Kotwali under relevant Sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is in progress.
