Following an altercation, a man who worked at a call centre was allegedly stabbed to death by five people, including four juveniles, in southeast Delhi’s Tughlakabad forest area, police said on Wednesday.
Police have identified the attackers as a 22-year-old man, Sumit, who, along with four juveniles, was partying in the secluded forest area while the victim, Prem Barman, 22, was also sitting in the area with his friend.

A dispute erupted between the two groups over loud noises, which escalated into heated arguments and a physical clash, they said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari said that the incident came to attention around 2:08 am on Tuesday, when a PCR call informed the police about the body of a young man lying in a forested area near Sanjay Colony’s Nirmal T-point.
He added that Barman was assaulted after a verbal argument turned into a scuffle, during which the accused, in a fit of rage, allegedly stabbed him multiple times in the isolated Tughlakabad forest area.
Acting on leads, they identified the suspects and held Sumit along with four juveniles.
The DCP said that Sumit, a Class 6 dropout employed at a water supply shop, has a prior case registered against him under the Arms Act, while his father works as a security guard.
“Our team has also seized two blood-stained knives used in the attack, along with the accused’s bloodied clothing,” he continued in his statement.
The victim, a Tughlakabad village resident employed at a call centre, resided with his mother, a domestic worker, and three sisters, while his father works as a labourer in Rajasthan, the DCP said.
Further raids are underway to nab the other suspects involved in this case, Tiwari said.
A case has been registered at the Govindpuri police station under relevant sections, and further investigation is in progress, police added.
