Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, while speaking about the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday, said the current House has been very effective. Despite the party being in minority initially, became the largest with the support of allied members, and succeeded in electing its Mayor last year.

At a meeting of party’s councilors and MPs a day ahead of the elections for the mayor, deputy mayor, and three members of the Standing Committee, Sahcdeva briefed them about the voting procedure and urged everyone to ensure to maintaining cleanliness in every street and road of Delhi while the MCD administration works toward clearing the landfill sites over the next 15 months.

Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, who was also present in the meeting, said ahead of the MCD Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Standing Committee polls, the party’s victory in 15 municipal corporations in Gujarat has boosted morale.
He urged councillors to reach the MCD office by 12 pm on Wednesday to attend the party meeting and ensure that it not only secures 100 per cent of its votes, but also wins with a strong majority.

All attendees extended their best wishes to Raja Iqbal Singh thanked all councillors for their support during his tenure as Mayor, while mayoral candidate Pravesh Wahi, deputy mayoral candidate Monika Pant, Leader of the House and Standing Committee candidate Jaibhagwan Yadav, and Standing Committee candidate Manish Chadha were also present.
At the beginning of the meeting that was held at the state unit office of the BJP here, RS MP Swati Maliwal, who recently joined the party after she quit AAP, was welcomed for the first time Sachdeva, Malhotra, MPs Yogender Chandolia, Kamaljeet Sehrawat and General Secretary Vishnu Mittal, and was presented a party stole.
Delhi BJP media head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, and others welcomed her at the office gate with flowers.
