Malviya Nagar fire tragedy: Delhi Police arrest hotel owner after blaze kills 21
The development comes hours after the fire broke out at the multi-storey building in South Delhi.
The agency registered the instant case on Saturday against Patil Kumar, the ASI of the Delhi Police.

The CBI on Monday said they have arrested an assistant sub inspector of Delhi Police for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2.4 lakh for submitting a favourable verification report with respect to a property at Meet Nagar in a case pending at Karkardooma court.
The agency registered the instant case on Saturday against Patil Kumar, the ASI of the Delhi Police.

“It was alleged by the complainant that Kumar demanded a bribe of Rs 15 lakh from the complainant for submitting a favourable verification report with respect to a property of the complainant situated at Meet Nagar in a case pending in the Karkardooma Court, Delhi. The accused threatened that he would submit an adverse report against the complainant if the bribe was not paid,” said the CBI official.

The official said they laid a trap and caught the accused ASI red-handed.
